Chef Tony Maws from Cambridge, MA's Craigie on Main visited the Xhibition Kitchen on Tuesday, February 7, 2012.
Chef Maws, the 2011 James Beard Award winner of the Best Chef, Northeast, gave a detailed history of his unconventional path to culinary greatness. From his beginnings as a waiter on Martha's Vineyard to his restaurant's move into its current location on Main Street in Cambridge, Chef Maws was very honest about his journey and the crowd was engaged the entire time. He also prepared a delicious buckwheat pasta dish which exemplified the rustic, yet non-traditional, cuisine at Craigie on Main.
