This was the 11th anniversary of this signature event and the Chartwells team worked closely with the University administration to make this the phenomenal success it was. Levine Marketplace inside Stetson East was transformed into Bourbon Street, New Orleans. As students entered the dining room, they were greeted by university administrators and the Chartwells team. Faculty and staff interacted the entire evening with students at this non-stop Mardi Gras party which included contests, the Hot Tamale Brass Band, beads, masks, fresh flower centerpieces, and a menu consisting of Cajun cuisine favorites. This year we included a photo booth as well as a caricaturist. The grand prizes for the contests were cash prizes of $100. All participants received tons of prizes and giveaways including light-up hats, fancy glasses, beads, horns, feather boas, and t-shirts during this festive event. A great time was had by all who attended!
