Kosher and Halal Options

Dining Services offers kosher and halal frozen meals at Levine Marketplace within the Stetson East Residence Hall. Items are served in the Vegan/Vegetarian/Kosher/Halal station located behind the Fresh Grille in Levine Marketplace where breakfast, lunch and dinner items are available. There is a designated microwave and toaster for kosher meals. Paper plates, paper bowls and pre-wrapped utensils are also available. Halal frozen meals can be cooked in the microwave in the main dining room. There is no additional cost for these meals. These are included as part of all meal plans and Profiler plans.

Those who prefer to combine their Friday meal with Shabbat worship are welcome to arrive at 6 pm for services at NU Hillel, located at 70 St. Stephen Street. A kosher meal will be served at Hillel immediately following the service. The Shabbat Kosher dinner at Hillel is free to NU students upon presenting their NU ID. A meal plan or profiler plan is not required. The Shabbat kosher dinner program is a collaborative effort of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs, Hillel, and the Spiritual Life Center, and is provided by Dining Services.
